During her DNB training in Psychiatry, Dr Sugandha Gupta, besides being trained in core Psychiatry, had significant exposure to consultation liason Psychiatry wherein she trained in the important & delicate inter related aspects of medicine, neurology, neurosurgery presenting with psychological disturbances and psychiatric disorders.

Psychiatry experience:

Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi – (2007 – 2010)

During her DNB training in Psychiatry, Dr Sugandha Gupta, besides being trained in core Psychiatry, had significant exposure to consultation liason Psychiatry wherein she trained in the important & delicate inter related aspects of medicine, neurology, neurosurgery presenting with psychological disturbances and psychiatric disorders.

She was also involved in spreading public awareness about mental illness through participating in free health camps organized each year on occasion of world mental health day at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

Army College Of Medical Sciences & Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt ( 2012-2015)

During her three years of Senior Residency at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt, she gained significant experience in core Psychiatry . As it was a tertiary care general hospital psychiatric unit, she also gained significant experience in consultation liason Psychiatry. Being the only lady Psychiatrist in the department, she interacted closely and managed mental health issues in females such as interpersonal stressors leading to depression and anxiety, post partum depression and psychosis, pre menopausal emotional disturbances and pre menstrual dysphoric disorder besides other significant issues such as infertility & cancer survivors facing depression.

Dr Sugandha was also actively involved in teaching undergraduate and post graduate medical students besides teaching nursing cadets, psychology interns and counselers. She was also actively involved in public outreach programs such as giving lectures for public awareness at navy wives welfare assocition and NCC cadets at republic day camps.
